About BSU and Boise

Boise State University is a metropolitan university reflecting the character of Idaho's capital city - a center of business, government, technology, and culture - and serving the needs of the state of Idaho through undergraduate and graduate programs, research and public service.

About Boise
Boise is an ideal setting for a major university. The state's largest city and largest university combine to offer students a wealth of educational opportunities that aren't found anywhere else in Idaho. Rated "most livable" by several national magazines, Boise offers a host of cultural events, recreational opportunities and business ventures.

One of the advantages of living in Boise is having access to a metropolitan area that includes shopping, dining, semi-professional athletics, cultural and political events, and many more activities common to state capitals. Recreational activities include hunting, fishing, skiing, backpacking, and are only minutes from downtown Boise.
